Volunteer Drivers: The Pembrokeshire Country Car Service needs YOU!

If you enjoy driving and meeting people and have a day, or a few, or even a few hours twice a week, then YOU can HELP.

Royal Voluntary Service are currently looking for the following volunteers:

Volunteer Drivers:

Due to the success of the Country Car scheme, we are in search of volunteers to drive their own cars, and drivers to share the driving of our specially-adapted wheelchair accessible cars. We have vacancies throughout Pembrokeshire. Our accessible cars are based in Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock.

All you need is a standard driving licence, some spare time and a desire to help.

We reimburse mileage and all out of pocket expenses. All drivers of our accessible cars receive guidance in loading and securing wheelchairs in the car.

Helping people home from hospital (the PIVOT project)

Royal Voluntary Service is also looking for volunteer drivers to help transport people home from hospital and make sure they are safe and comfortable when they get there. This service operates 7 days a week in the afternoon and evening, and duties are shared between volunteers on a rota.

To get involved or find out more, please contact Simon on 07585997091 or email simon.rickard@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk
